Thanks to Dennis Porrell who spotted someone actually trying to sell my Allach Luftwaffe Officer on Ebay. The seller was offering the item as if it were his own, with a very high buy-price, thousands more than the specimen is worth. He was using my photos and had even copied my guarantee language from my website. How pathetic. I contacted the seller, who told me "he was new at this online selling business and didn't know the etetquitte." My foot!

ReplyDeleteYou may have to start watermarking the photos. I recently had a fellow pirate photos of a WWI Camo helmet from my website and he was "selling" the helmet on Gunbroker.com. It is a pain and requires more time, but I have started watermarking all of my photos. The thieves are ever present on the World Wide Web. Glad you nailed this idiot selling the Allach piece.
