My debut piece launches today on Mandatory.com

I'm pleased to announce that today my first piece (see the screen grab) has launched for Mandatory.com, an exciting new website focused on men and the things that interest them. In this case, it's my look at "Five guns that changed history," including the weapons used to kill a couple of presidents and the AK-47, and all its many, many variants across the world.

Mandatory.com is backed by AOL's Lifestyle division and BermanBraun, a prominent Santa Monica-based content company with divisions in TV, film and digital, and headed by long-time studio and network executives Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun. The hottest stories off Mandatory also will get pulled onto AOL's bigger distribution channels.

Mandatory loved this first piece, and I think you will too, especially if you're a history and weapons buff like I am.

I plan on writing regularly for Mandatory about historic weapons and other issues related to collectibles, antiques and investing in them for fun and profit. In the meantime, check out my story and share it widely, if you would. I'd love to get a great start with them and I think the story is a great way to make it happen.
