Nazi Kitten Grenade Play

Okay, so there is very little amusing about Nazis. However, I found this image on the internet today, and hope you find it as amusing, if you can dare take your brain to that place. Are they playing with the kitty, introducing it to friendly Mr. grenade, or trying to feed it a flower? In all seriousness, this picture brings up a compelling question: what does it take for a human to take a break from killing to play with a kitten?
