Porsche Fun, Sans Headaches

For a history buff like myself, I'm a bit sheepish about drooling over a fake. But in this case, I'm prepared to make an exception.  Although quality varies from producer to producer, for about $25K, you can own one of these reproduction Porsche 356 Speedsters.  The big draw for me is no headache.  You know this thing will start in the morning, and you don't have to worry about rust (the original had a metallic body, whereas the reproduction has a fiberglass body).  I'm seriously thinking about ordering one of these from one of the better California producers.  Panels are molded from an original, the chassis is classic VW Bug, and the engine is brand new.  The best part: it's smog-exempt in California.
